Approach to Tutoring:
I think it is important to note that there is no one approach to successful tutoring, and that often it is the job of the tutor to adapt and rethink their strategies to suit their students. In general, I encourage that students are actively involved in each of their lessons; whether it be through answering questions or asking them too – the ability to examine material and formulate questions to discover more about a subject is a skill whose value cannot be underestimated. When looking at language, I tend to use reading exercises as the focus of my lessons, as I believe that reading is the core skill in language learning, from which we can derive skills in listening, speaking and writing.
